A graduate of Aryamehr University of Technology in Iran, Dr. Benhuri earned his degree in Physics, graduating as valedictorian. His academic excellence was recognized by the Shah of Iran, marking the beginning of a distinguished career in science and medicine. He later pursued a Master’s in Physics at Stony Brook University, where he conducted pioneering research inspired by his childhood hero, Albert Einstein. This scientific foundation has shaped his analytical approach to patient care, enabling him to provide well-rounded, evidence-based medical solutions.
Dr. Benhuri went on to earn his Medical Doctorate (MD) from the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, where he honed his clinical skills with a passion for improving patient health. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital, where he further specialized in non-invasive cardiology and allergy. Over the years, he has treated a wide range of medical conditions, continuously adapting to the evolving needs of his patients.
For the past 35 years, Dr. Benhuri has been in private practice on Long Island, offering tailored, high-quality care. In addition to traditional office visits, he also offers concierge services, providing on-demand home visits and telehealth services to patients across Long Island and New York City. This innovative approach ensures that his patients receive the most personalized and accessible care possible.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Benhuri is deeply committed to medical education. As a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra University, he mentors medical students and residents, fostering the next generation of physicians and bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical, real-world experience.
